Mark is a professional project manager, planner, quantity surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joined Norman Rourke & Partners in 1981 and is one of the four founding members of norman rourke pryme
Mark is the team leader of a project management and cost consultancy group and has extensive experience working on large-scale commercial projects throughout Europe and the Middle East. Mark is the UK representative responsible for the Prague office.
Ian is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He became a full equity Partner of Harris Rourke & Simpson in 1992 and was one of the four founding members of norman rourke pryme. Having completed qualifications in London, Ian set up the Exeter office in 1992. Ian has a wealth of experience across a diverse mix of construction sectors, most notably in the retail, commercial and residential sectors.
Ian has a hands-on management style which typifies the high levels of director involvement central to our service.
Ray is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1979.
With over 35 years’ experience, Ray is the team leader of a cost consultancy group working on a variety of residential, office, refurbishment, local authority and retail schemes. Ray has worked throughout the UK and spent four years working on projects in the Sultanate of Oman.
Jon is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joined Norman Rourke Partners in 1981, became a full equity Partner of Norman Rourke & Partners in 1996 and went on to become one of the four founding members of norman rourke pryme in 2004. With over 30 years’ experience, Jon is the leader of the project management and cost consultancy group working across a variety of sectors. Jon has several years’ experience acting as development monitor for funds and institutions and has assisted lawyers in settling disputes by acting as an expert witness. He has expert knowledge of a variety of types of contract and has worked in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Ireland and Switzerland.
Jon has successfully completed the Association for Project Safety course The Management of CDM Co-ordination.
Myles is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a qualified project manager. He became a full equity Partner of norman rourke pryme in 2005 and is now team leader of a project management group. With over 20 years’ experience Myles has worked on a number of large-scale office developments and a wide variety of commercial fitting out projects. Most recently he has gained extensive experience working in the high-end residential sector.
Myles has worked throughout the UK as well as in Holland, Germany, Hungary and Sweden.
Niall joined the norman rourke pryme Exeter team in 2004 bringing with him over 18 years' post- qualification experience of retail, residential, local authority and commercial schemes. Niall’s experience has enabled norman rourke pryme to expand its project management commissions with registered providers, residential developers and private commercial clients on a national basis.
Niall’s determination and commitment provides clients with highly effective team and project management expertise.
David is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has been with the firm since 1989. He is an associate working on commercial, industrial, leisure and office projects.
With nearly 30 years' experience, David leads a team of cost consultants providing construction cost management, contract and procurement consultancy across projects of all sizes and complexities. David has worked extensively throughout the UK as well as spending two years in the Middle East. David has excellent management and financial administration skills.
Simon is a chartered building surveyor with 20 years' post-qualification experience. He has spent most of his professional life within the private sector serving a broad spectrum of clients. Prior to joining norman rourke pryme, he worked for Chesterton plc as a director in charge of their building and project services department at their Exeter and Plymouth offices.
Of note is Simon’s expertise in the refurbishment of commercial property including listed buildings and project management of works in the education sector as well as core building surveying disciplines of dilapidations, acquisition surveys, building defect reports and party walls.
Simon is also a visiting lecturer for the University of Plymouth’s Environmental Building Surveying degree.
Martin Woodley is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was previously registered with the Council of South African Quantity Surveyors and was a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors. He is a senior project manager and cost consultant working on commercial, industrial, leisure, retail and residential office projects.
Martin joined the practice in May 2000 having returned from South Africa where he successfully ran the surveying division for Arup Ltd (South Africa) for nine years. He was made an associate of norman rourke pryme in April 2001. Martin has over thirty years’ experience, working as a project manager and cost consultant in South Africa, Europe and United Kingdom. His hands-on working style means he is equally at home in the project design office, client's facility and boardroom as he is on site.
Matthew is a professional project manager, planner and PRINCE2 Practitioner with over 12 years’ experience in highway, infrastructure, public realm and major commercial projects.
Matthew has worked with a number of leading consultants and public sector clients such as Transport for London and central London Councils. He joined norman rourke pryme in 2012 following a successful collaboration with the firm on the Leicester Square Redevelopment for the City of Westminster. He has a good practical knowledge of construction techniques gained in extensive site based and contract management roles. Matthew is comfortable dealing with operatives and contractors on site as well as clients and funders.
Matt is a Chartered Building Surveyor and is also registered with the BRE as an assessor for the Code for Sustainable Homes. Matt worked as a site engineer on civil engineering projects in the late 1980s, constructing new road schemes and similarly as a site engineer on the construction of the Plymouth Pavilions Complex with Sir Robert McAlpine Subsequent to his early construction experience, Matt spent seven years operating his own business providing outdoor activities and team building courses in the South-West of the UK.
Matt joined norman rourke pryme at the Exeter office in July 2007. His work is primarily as a project manager, specialising in retail development, but he also works alongside colleagues on a number of Building Surveying instructions. Matt has an excellent technical understanding of construction issues and is an approachable person with a good sense of humour and a positive work ethic.
Chris, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, is an Associate Traffic Engineer based in Bristol. His role involves project management and technical lead for concept scheme design and traffic modelling. Chris has been a transport planner and traffic engineer for eleven years, playing a key role in a number of high profile projects for both the private and public sector including the City of London, the London Borough of Camden, Transport for London (TfL), and Westminster.
Chris’s work has underpinned many successful scheme approvals including the major Aldgate scheme that is currently under construction.
Tom is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics of Transport and a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation with over 12 years’ experience as a professional traffic engineer. He is a director of the norman rourke pryme traffic and transportation business based in Bristol.
Tom has a strong track record of developing solutions for innovative and high profile schemes with clients in Central London, throughout the UK and overseas. He is an expert traffic engineering designer and modeller, responsible for ensuring technical excellence across the traffic and transportation team.
Keith is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation. He became a director of the norman rourke pryme traffic and transportation team and set up the Bristol office in 2015. He has 30 years’ experience in traffic engineering and modelling, transport planning, development transport assessments and streetscape enhancement schemes. He has worked on a diverse mix of projects for both public and private sector clients throughout the UK and overseas.
He has a reputation for technical excellence and innovative thinking around traffic issues, with a fully multi-modal approach to design solutions. He has contributed to radio, TV and literary media on traffic engineering issues, regularly speaks at conferences and has been a visiting lecturer at University of Bristol and for PTRC.
Jamie is a project manager and quantity surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in major highway schemes and public realm projects.
Jamie has worked with public sector clients within central London, Transport for London and Highways England along with leading consultants and contractors. He moved to norman rourke pryme in 2013 having collaborated with the firm on the Leicester Square Redevelopment scheme. Jamie specialises in NEC3 contract administration (particularly handling and assessing compensation events) and preparing Bills of Quantities for highways schemes.
Alex is a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation with 12 years’ experience as a traffic engineer, modeller and transport planner. He is Team Leader of the norman rourke pryme London Traffic and Transportation team. Alex is an experienced project manager with a proven track record in delivering successful scheme design and appraisal, and this has included several high profile projects. His expertise in traffic engineering design and modelling has delivered innovative solutions to complex challenges, through skilled application of the latest cycle, bus priority and multi-modal and streetscape enhancement design techniques. He is highly experienced in public and stakeholder engagement and is a lecturer for PTRC. Alex has worked for both private and public sector clients on projects in London, throughout the UK and also overseas
Joel is Member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation and is an Associate Traffic Engineer in the norman rourke pryme Traffic and Transportation team based in Bristol. His role involves the management of traffic and transportation projects and a technical lead on scheme design and traffic modelling. Joel has over 9 years’ professional experience, having worked on a wide range of transport and highways projects with multi-modal objectives. Joel has been responsible for the implementation of innovative designs incorporating infrastructure new to UK roads and has overseen the trialling, construction and monitoring to ensure their successful delivery. Large-scale schemes involving dramatic streetscape changes within complex urban environments have become his speciality, and he is a champion of simplicity and flexibility.
