This project was the fourth in a Metropolitan Police roll-out of Patrol Bases across Greater London area, wherein norman rourke pryme were appointed as project manager and cost consultants. The project was procured under the SECE initiative using a D&B form of contract. The building was “purpose built” as a shell and core by the Developers and purchased by the Metropolitan Police Authority.
The patrol base consists of a fast track fit-out of the industrial unit including the extension of the mezzanine floors, indoor car parking area, modern offices, intelligence suites, briefing room and locker accommodation for 800 personnel. All internal construction used traditional trade methodology with a steel mezzanine structure and boarded flooring.
